Go! HMD Global, known for its devices under the Nokia brand, announced that it will now also produce a brand of smartphones under its own name. Quite a bold decision, considering the fact that the company rode on a wave of consumer nostalgia, and the information buzz around the product only grew when re-releases of Finland’s Nokia hits hit movies.

The sound streaming service offered users an easy way to stream playback of music already playing to a smart speaker. According to the developer, you need to touch your phone to the SberBoom or SberBoom Mini speakers with the downloaded “Sound” application to play music on them. The Music Touch technology was jointly implemented with the SberDevices team. A nice, but not new solution that Apple and other companies already have.

Retailer Re:Store, previously an official Apple partner, has rebranded and changed its name to revive:. The company is moving away from the mono-brand format towards multi-brand sales.

And Yandex launched a pay service – the company calls it a money management service. The service allows you to pay for goods offline using the Yandex Pay digital debit card of the Mir payment system. Owners of smartphones on the Android platform will be able to enable payment with this card via NFC, and they can also pay via QR code.

New Apple products

Of course, the highlight of last week is Apple’s big fall presentation. Thus, the new iPhone 15 and 15 Plus were presented at the event, which differ as before, only in screen size – 6.1 and 6.7 inches, respectively. The models did not find any completely new solutions; They will “have to wear things” from last year’s iPhone 14 Pro. The iPhone 15 screen now has a dynamic island cutout, a 48MP main camera (although the matrix is different from the 14 Pro) and the Apple A16 Bionic chip. As mentioned earlier, the models lost the Lightning connector, and USB-C replaced them. There was also a new color palette, now the models are sporting soft watercolor colors, which I love. In the US, prices start at $799 for the 128GB version.

Apple also showed off the new iPhone 15 Pro, which, like before, comes in two versions that differ in screen size. The model received a titanium frame, which should increase the strength of the structure, but this remains to be tested. Also, thanks to the use of new materials, the 15 Pro has reduced the weight by 20 grams compared to the 14 Pro. Inside the A17 Pro chip, as we see, the company has deviated from the usual name, which is manufactured using 3 nm process technology. The new product is faster, more powerful and much better than its predecessor; The GPU in particular stands out here, which according to the company, is 70% more productive.

The last emphasis was given for a reason; With the iPhone 15 Pro, Apple decided to try its hand at mobile games again and said in the presentation that Resident Evil: Village, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Death Stranding and Assassin’s Creed: Mirage are already there. Being ported to new smartphones. It seems that the Cupertino company has decided to compete with Steam Deck and its analogues. So it looks like you’ll have to buy a handy controller for the new iPhone as well, as playing the aforementioned games with only virtual buttons won’t be comfortable.

The iPhone 15 Pro’s cameras remain unchanged; It still has the same 48-megapixel module as the 14 Pro. But a five-fold zoom appeared in the 15 Pro Max, however, instead of the expected classic periscope, the manufacturer installed a tetraprism, which will worsen the quality, but we will have to see more. The new product also has the ability to shoot native video for the Apple Vision Pro headset, but it’s not very exciting.

They lost the iPhone 15 Pro and the Lightning connector, which was replaced by a faster USB-C at 10 Gbps. The lever to change the modes has also gone into oblivion; It’s been replaced by an action button, to which you can assign one of seven actions required by the developer.

The color scheme of the new iPhone 15 Pro has become a bit gray and dull, and the most interesting of the colors is “natural titanium”, although we still have to see the smartphone in person. As for pricing in the US, the smaller version starts at $999 with 128 GB of memory capacity, while the older version starts at $1,199, but has a minimum memory capacity of 256 GB.

Yes, the company has already started selling a Lightning to USB-C adapter, priced at $29. Also on sale are wired AirPods with USBC and an updated version of the AirPods Pro 2 with a similar connector; By the way, the latter can be charged directly from the new iPhone via wire.

Apple hasn’t neglected its smartwatches either, although the updates here are entirely superficial. So, the S9 chip in the new Apple Watch 9, and gesture control, which was later found out, was already available in the special features of the watch, and now this option has been easily surfaced. The display now has a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, and the new bands are made from eco-friendly materials. New items start at $399 in the US.

Under the big name Apple Watch Ultra 2, the company showed off an almost exact copy of last year’s product; They only boosted the display’s peak brightness to 3000 nits, and improved certain options. Pricing in the US has not changed and still starts at $799.

I don’t know about you, but out of all of Apple’s recent offerings, I like the regular iPhone 15 the most. There’s a new camera and a “dynamic island” and a fresh chipset, so owners of the iPhone 13 and older models can easily upgrade. You’ll have to take a closer look at the iPhone 15 Pro; The five-times zoom in the Max is really good, but it’s unclear how high-quality it will be. Apple didn’t win me over with its games; I was also disappointed with the choice of body colors. But for USB-C, I’m ready to convert my 14 Pro Max to 15 Pro Max so I can use one wire for all devices.

We published several content about new products from Apple:

TECNO TWS Headphone

This week, TECNO brand introduced new TWS headphones True 1. The model has got an active noise reduction system up to 42 dB, which makes it possible to cut external noise as much as possible. Of course, there is also a transparency mode, which allows you to hear the necessary sounds, for example, a car horn. The manufacturer also says that with original acoustic tuning and a high-density diaphragm, the True 1 reproduces frequencies beyond the range of human hearing. Bass up to 18 Hz and treble up to 45 kHz, allows you to listen to your favorite tracks in a new way. In addition, the model offers customization of sound settings through the Audipub application.

The compact headphone case has a rounded shape with a pleasant tactile velvet surface and fits well in the hand, and the sliding design of the top cover makes it easy to open with one hand. As TECNO promises us, the True 1 can work for up to 6 hours, and the charging case will add another 39 hours, meaning the model will provide up to 45 hours of battery life in total. The headphones are charged via the USB-C connector on the case.

The new TECNO True 1 can be connected to two devices simultaneously, which is convenient, for example, when you use a laptop at home, and otherwise use a smartphone. The model also has IPX5 water protection, so there’s no fear if you get caught in the rain.

The new TECNO True 1 will be priced at 6999 rubles, which is a very interesting offer, although it would be good to hear them before buying.

And we mentioned TECNO smartphones here this week:

Gaming Infinix

This week, Infinix announced the availability of its first gaming smartphone, the GT 10 Pro.

The model gets a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and PWM at 1920 Hz. Inside is a MediaTek Dimensity 8050 5G chip, 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. According to the manufacturer, the device uses a special 4D vibration technology, which accurately communicates every movement and action performed by the gamer during gameplay. There is also a high-precision gyroscope, which allows you to achieve precision in racing and shooters. Where would a gaming smartphone be without backlighting? The body of the GT10 Pro features special LED indicators, which users can customize individually.

The smartphone is backed by a 5000mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging. There is a bypass charging function, thanks to which the GT 10 Pro can be powered directly, bypassing the battery, saving its resources and reducing the smartphone’s heat. The main camera in the device is 108 MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6, complemented by a 2 MP module, and the front camera is 32 MP.

The GT 10 Pro will be available in 8GB RAM/256GB ROM variants in Black and Gray colors. It costs 32,990 rubles, and you can buy it at a special price of 27,990 rubles at the start of sales.

Of course, the Infinix GT 10 Pro isn’t quite a full-fledged gaming smartphone like the Asus ROG Phone, but it’s also priced considerably lower. The new product is a well-balanced, relatively affordable device for mass consumers, with some tweaks for mobile gamers, as well as a bright appearance and active backlighting. For your money, the GT 10 Pro will find a buyer, as the model is priced well for its capabilities.

This week we released a new tablet review:

A week with the Realme C53

A new budget smartphone, the realme C53, arrived for my test drive for a week. What is remarkable about the model is that the entry-level smartphone has all the latest features that we have only dreamed of in this segment before. For example, the device has a 6.74-inch IPS Full HD+ display with a peak brightness of 560 nits and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The quality is quite good, but I would like the viewing angles to be better, although I noticed it while filming the video, but I didn’t notice it in everyday life either. 6 GB RAM, 128 GB permanent memory, Unesco Tiger T612 processor with Mali-G57 graphics. The latter was a dark horse for me, but it turns out that this chip from Unisoc isn’t so bad. In everyday tasks, the smartphone’s power is enough for the eyes, nothing slows down, the most popular arcade games fly here, but the performance for heavy toys is already lacking, but this is understandable. Is.

The main camera on the C53 is a wide-angle 50 MP f/1.8. I did not expect a miracle, but I was more than satisfied with the quality of the images of the device costing 13,990 rubles, however, see for yourself.

The device has a battery of 5000 mAh, it easily lasts for a day of battery life. You can recharge a dead device with 33W charging, which is already included in the kit, and it gets the first 50% of the charge in 30 minutes. There is also an NFC module, and its range is extended, so install MirPay and make contactless payments with ease.

The design of the device is in line with the latest trends, so flat, with sharp edges that emphasize the small thickness of the case – 7.49 mm. There are two colors to choose from, gold and black, in both cases realme says it uses six layers of gradient nano-coating, which makes the device exceptionally bright at different angles. I don’t know about you, but the black looked completely boring to me, although considering that most users hide their smartphones in a case, there’s nothing wrong with that.

In general, realme turned out to be a very good entry-level smartphone, and in terms of hardware it is no worse than some more expensive models. Yes, its appearance is not the most attractive, I would like a more powerful processor, but on the other hand, you have to understand that realme C53 already offers a lot for its category.
