A24 has released an official lyric video for “Gay Old Time,” a cheeky musical number from the upcoming comedy. Dix: The Musical. It reveals absolutely nothing about the plot of the film, but something very creepy about Nathan Lane’s character who thinks he’s a normal weirdo.
Dix: The Musical It’s about a pair of identical twins (Josh Sharp and Aaron Jackson), who were separated in childhood. Finding each other as adults, they plan to switch places to reunite their divorced parents (Nathan Lane and Megan Mullally). It’s basically a ridiculous camp. The Parent Trap Parody that satirizes queer culture. If that doesn’t sound amazing, then this movie isn’t for you.
“Gay Old Time” offers a glimpse of what you can expect. Dixsings about going to brunch with Lane, visiting the symphony, and capturing a pair of mind-studying, blood-drinking Sewer Boys to keep him company.
Dix: The Musical It hits theaters on October 6.
